Inkwell Originals

There’s something special about putting pen to paper, and Inkwell Originals keeps that tradition alive from their letterpress studio in downtown Halifax. Founded by graphic designers Andrea Rahal and Daniel MacDonald, their stationery line began in 2010 with the purchase of their first letterpress.

Blending hand-drawn elements with original illustrations, each design is printed one sheet at a time using hand-powered presses, giving the paper that distinctive texture and impression letterpress is known for. Their East Coast surroundings and life near the ocean find their way into the designs, adding a personal touch to stationery thoughtfully made by hand.
